Day 1
Arrival at Bari Airport, pick-up of the rental car, and transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, guided city tour of Bari with its main highlights: Basilica of Saint Nicholas; Cathedral of San Sabino; Swabian Castle; the seafront and historic old town.
At the end of the visit, tasting of local specialties such as focaccia and panzerotti.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2
Visit to Matera, one of the oldest cities in the world, famous for its Sassi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Return to Bari and overnight stay.
Day 3
Visits to: Alberobello; Locorotondo; Castellana Caves; Polignano a Mare.
Arrival in Lecce and hotel accommodation. Overnight stay.
Day 4
Suggested destinations include Otranto and Gallipoli.
Optional visit to the villages of the Grecia Salentina area, known for the presence of the ancient Griko language and its unique cultural traditions.
Return to Lecce and overnight stay.
Day 5
Morning dedicated to visiting Lecce, the symbol of Apulian Baroque, with its main landmarks: Piazza del Duomo, Basilica of Santa Croce, Roman Amphitheatre, historic centre, and noble palaces.
In the afternoon, departure towards Bari with a stop in Ostuni, the famous White City, for a walk through its historic centre.
Arrival in Bari and overnight stay.
Day 6
Breakfast at the hotel, check-out, and transfer to the airport with car rental drop-off.
