Arriving in Trani, you will begin a pleasant walk through one of the most elegant towns on the Adriatic coast. Here you can admire the stunning Cathedral of San Nicola Pellegrino, a masterpiece of Apulian Romanesque architecture set directly on the sea, and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Just a short distance away stands the impressive Swabian Castle of Trani, a powerful fortress commissioned by Emperor Frederick II. Your walk continues through the lively harbour area, one of the most characteristic spots in the city, filled with restaurants, cafés, and local shops where you can experience Trani’s authentic seaside atmosphere. We will then head inland to reach the magnificent Castel del Monte, a remarkable fortress built by Frederick II of Swabia and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set on a hill and surrounded by the vast Apulian countryside, the castle is famous for its unique octagonal shape, its mysterious symbolism, and its breathtaking panoramic views.
